Board Finish

Our boards come well sealed with two to three coats of an oil-based finish. After a curing period, a topcoat of citrus-scented Clark's Cutting Board Wax is then applied. The boards do not need to be seasoned or treated any further when they first arrive.

After Each Use

After using the board, immediately hand-wash it with warm or hot soapy water. Then rinse, and always dry it thoroughly immediately after use. 

What Not To Do

Never put your board in the dishwasher. Never soak it, submerge it, or allow standing water to sit on the board. Excessive water exposure may lead to cracking, joint failure, and other issues, so try to keep it as clean and dry as possible. 

Refreshing Boards

If the board starts to look dry or worn out, it may need a refresh. For this, we recommend what we use: Clark's Cutting Board Wax (or a similar product). It can be purchased through Amazon. Just buff/rub a light coat of the wax in a circular motion with a quality paper towel, and then use a fresh paper towel to remove any excess wax. Any oily feel will dissipate over time and can be reduced the more you wipe the board with a fresh paper towel.
